Motion Graphics & Brand Design

Service: Motion Design & Scalable Content Creation
Type: 2D/3D Animation, Motion Branding & Live Event Visuals

Overview
At ThoughtSpot, I created dynamic motion graphics and scalable systems for in-house and commercial storytelling, ensuring brand consistency and engagement.

Approach
I led storyboarding, animatics, and preproduction while streamlining collaboration using Asana and Slack. I built templated After Effects files for easy adaptation and used AI tools to boost efficiency.

A highlight was developing multiple templated systems for The Data Chief podcast. My motion design and video edits tripled its viewership, with the Mark Cuban promo being a standout favorite.

Impact
This work strengthened ThoughtSpot’s brand across marketing, events, and internal programs. I also supported the Adelante program, producing content to empower and celebrate the Latino community.

Meet Spotter

I storyboarded and animated this piece introducing ThoughtSpot Spotter, your AI analyst delivering conversational insights tailored to your industry, all with enterprise-grade security. I worked closely with the copy team to craft a smooth, engaging narrative that matched the brand's voice and brought clarity to the product’s value.

The Data Renaissance Tour

The Data Renaissance Tour was a game-changer. I worked with Hannah and Hande to bring these animations to life, ensuring every piece was delivered on time and with impact. Proud to have been part of a team that made it happen.
For years, data has been locked away, buried in SQL and outdated processes. GenAI is changing that, putting people and ideas back at the center.
This is the Data Renaissance. ThoughtSpot is leading the charge, turning data into something intuitive and game-changing. Discover the unthinkable. Do the impossible. Make your mark

Product Overview

I worked closely with ThoughtSpot stakeholders to create a two-minute product demo introducing new users to the platform’s AI-powered insights. Combining provided live-action footage with custom UI/UX animations, I transformed static graphs into dynamic visuals and brought interactive product features to life with smooth, engaging motion. The goal was to make the product feel more exciting and accessible while clearly demonstrating its capabilities. The final video launched as part of ThoughtSpot’s onboarding program and was met with positive feedback for its clarity, energy, and polished execution.

TS SAGe

Tasked with creating a social promo showcasing ThoughtSpot's major milestones and successes, I crafted an engaging animation designed to attract new clients. The campaign highlighted key achievements, including the launch of Sage, surpassing 1,000 customers, and doubling SaaS ARR, on track to exceed $150 million. The final piece reinforced customer appreciation while driving excitement around ThoughtSpot's growth and data potential.

customer voices

Led the storyboarding, design, and animation for this campaign, creating a modular, easy-to-use template tailored to the client's needs while staying consistent to TS brand. The system allowed for seamless adaptation, whether in vector form, video, or motion graphics, ensuring long-term flexibility. The campaign ran successfully for months, delivering high clickthrough rates and earning praise for its performance, adaptability, and longevity.

MOTION BRANDING

In collaboration with Hannah’s and Hande’s exceptional design work, I was brought on to elevate ThoughtSpot’s motion guidelines. I focused on maintaining consistency and refining key rules to ensure a cohesive motion identity across all assets. Additionally, I established best practices for text and character animation, ensuring smooth, intentional motion that aligned with the brand’s visual language.

Getting started

Led discussions with stakeholders, providing strategic feedback through storyboarding solutions before animation began. Once approved, the project moved forward seamlessly, resulting in a successful campaign that met key objectives

Data chief podcast

I led the motion design and animation for Data Chief’s weekly podcast episodes, ensuring a scalable and efficient workflow for the team. Knowing the need for reusability, I developed an animation system that allowed junior designers to simply drag and drop assets while only adjusting timestamps for each new episode. This streamlined approach boosted efficiency and ensured consistency across videos. As a result, these posts became some of the top-performing content on ThoughtSpot’s LinkedIn each week.
